When I went to Vietnam over the summer I bought a beautiful little painting from a shop in Hanoi. There was a larger piece there that I couldn't bring back but luckily a friend was visiting Hanoi earlier this month and bought it for me. Big thanks to Lisi, and the team at Artworks for re-constructing the frame.

Of the three posters I bought in Hanoi, here is the third one which is un-framed.

I bought this painting in Hanoi under the influence of too many local beers. I absolutely love it though but cannot remember the artists name, it's hard to interpret the signature on the back. I also loved the frame so much that I lugged it around in pieces for three weeks. Big thanks to Sharon at 'Art Works' in Karori for fixing it back up again.

Whilst in Vietnam I also bought three old copies of propaganda posters, two of which I have framed already. In shops in Hanoi there lots of different posters to choose from for as little as five dollars each.

Just a few quick photos of Halong Bay in Vietnam, the weather hasn't been the best but it's amazing to see these huge silhouettes, then islands appear out of the mist. These photos don't come close to doing justice to how beautiful a place it was, very quiet and serene compared to the chaos of Hanoi.
