Bone carving, haven't done one for a year or two, and this needs a polish.

I met somebody recently who had this piece of mine from my last year of art school when I was first painting landscape. This piece was destined for the scrap heap and was born out of frustration with the process, until it was rescued by somebody who saw its potential. Photo courtesy of Fleur.

I have just found a folder of drawings done at school, most during tedious staff meetings which I will show over the next few posts. This piece though was an example to a junior class on making a comic strip with a subject matter that was relevant to them.

Three quick watercolour sketches of upcoming India oil paintings, I often do this if I want to get an idea of the palette I'll use.

These images are taken of old photos (I have no scanner and they were taken on a very old film camera) from a trip I took to India in 2003. They show me half asleep at 6am on the banks of the Ganges at Varanasi, and the bottom picture is from Vagator Beach in Goa on the west coast. I've painted pictures of most places I've been to but India has kinda lingered in the background...........until the coming holidays.
