Mowhanau Beach is a fifteen minute drive north of Wanganui where two small rivers flow into the sea beside small cliffs. It was a place that featured often in my work during my last year of art school. This image is from an old slide.

"If I had not already created the heavens, I would create them just for you", the quote on a banner above the sculpture. This photo is a bit dark though.

Watching a movie the other night, I saw the carved 'memento mori' from Gisleni's grave in the Santa Maria del Popola church in Rome. I found a picture of it on the internet and drew this picture from that, I'm reasonably happy with this but it does need some work.

I found some old and worn slides from art school and have had them put into digital form. The original photo's aren't the best but they give an idea of what my first landscapes were like.
