Three quick watercolour sketches of upcoming India oil paintings, I often do this if I want to get an idea of the palette I'll use.

These images are taken of old photos (I have no scanner and they were taken on a very old film camera) from a trip I took to India in 2003. They show me half asleep at 6am on the banks of the Ganges at Varanasi, and the bottom picture is from Vagator Beach in Goa on the west coast. I've painted pictures of most places I've been to but India has kinda lingered in the background...........until the coming holidays.

A few snapshots of the 'Wall Candy' show going up at Suite gallery in Newtown. It opens tomorrow for two weeks with the opening on this Friday at 5pm. I have twenty one pieces in the show and the ones seen in these images are in the front room.

I am having a show with Stephen Luther at Suite Gallery in Newtown. The show is open from Wednesday the 1st until the 11th of June but the opening function will be on the first Friday night, the 3rd. The work I'm showing is a selection of work from the last three years but there are a couple of older pieces there too.

Two simple prints from the lino cut in my last post.

This is a piece of lino which I am going to do a little printing with, the skull based on a drawing I did last year. I haven't done any printmaking since my first year of art school nearly sixteen years ago!

This wee gem is off to Dunbar Sloane Auctioneers tomorrow for their Fine Art Auction on the 13th of April. I have had it since February 2000, but it has rarely seen the light of day, but now it can brighten someone else's wall.
